What did ProLogium announce?
In October 2026 ProLogium introduced GEN4 electrolyte language including SFIE and Dynamic Coordination Network. The company describes DCN as enabling lithium-ion movement within its inorganic-electrolyte design. These are manufacturer technology descriptions, not a universally standardized battery category.
DCN vs solid-state electrolyte
A solid-state battery replaces conventional liquid electrolyte with a solid ion-conducting material. ProLogium's SFIE/DCN naming describes its own formulation and transport approach; it should not be treated as proof that every solid-state battery uses DCN. See all-solid-state batteries explained.
Does DCN mean faster EV charging?
ProLogium reports encouraging charging results for its development program, but a laboratory or cell-level demonstration is not the same as validated charging performance in a production car. Battery pack design, temperature control, charging infrastructure, durability and independent verification all matter.
Is DCN in a production vehicle?
No production-car specification or customer delivery using DCN is confirmed in the information used for this explainer. Treat partnerships and development targets separately from production availability.
